Floating facilitates a highly relaxed state in a zero gravity-type environment, which places the body in a natural alignment state. Those with certain injuries or repeated habits, like looking downward at a phone screen, may find their natural alignment to be uncomfortable, use of support props like a neck floatation device are recommended for these instances. Dr. Emily Johnson has been practicing chiropractic in the Chippewa Valley since 2017 after receiving her doctorate from Life University in Marietta, GA. She grew up on the southeastern side of Wisconsin as the youngest of seven and was very active in athletics. Her desire to continue playing soccer into college led Dr. Emily to attend UWEC to play for the women’s team and to complete her bachelors in Kinesiology. While attending the university she became interested in strength and conditioning, rehabilitation, and personal training and had many opportunities to work with a wide range of individuals from young athletes to geriatric clients.

In 2010 Dr. Emily experienced a major shift in her health after receiving chiropractic treatments and chose to advance her studies in human performance by becoming a doctor of chiropractic. She enjoys seeing patients improve their quality of life by implementing the chiropractic philosophy to their movement, nutrition, and stress management. Dr. Emily also chose to focus her studies on pediatric and prenatal care while she was pregnant with her son during her doctoral studies. She is certified in the Webster technique for pregnant women, and has also helped many pediatric patients with cranial abnormalities and delayed development. Dr. Emily strives to be a resource for the community by offering chiropractic treatments for pain management, health maintenance, and pediatric/prenatal care.

In her spare time she enjoys weight lifting, yoga, reading, and watching her son play sports like hockey and baseball.
